Jonathan Morgan, LCSW
Jonathan Morgan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Jonathan grew up in Utah and received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Brigham Young University studying Family Sociology. Jonathan then worked as a foster care worker in Kansas City, Missouri. Jonathan wanted to get more involved in actively helping children heal from traumatic events and returned to school to receive a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Jonathan completed level 1 certification for the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics. He is also working to finish certification requirements for Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Jonathan has additional training in EMDR, Theraplay, Play Therapy, and Crisis Prevention Intervention.
Jonathan’s professional interests include Trauma, Adoption, Attachment, Developmental Disabilities, Emotional Regulation/State Dependent Functioning, Family Therapy and helping parents learn skills to assist their children be successful at home, school and in the community.
Jonathan and his wife are adoptive parents and have four children giving him further practice with children with trauma histories and developmental disabilities. Jonathan enjoys spending his free time playing with his children, reading, and cooking.
