Larissa Browne, LMSW
A native to the Treasure Valley, Larissa recently returned to her roots after living for 13 years in Southwest Florida. She graduated from Florida State University with her Masters of Social Work and a Certificate in Aging and Gerontology. She has worked in long-term care diversion helping aging persons age in place with community supports. Her internships include working at a Child Advocacy Center as a Parent Aid through the Parents as Teachers program providing in-home support and training. Additionally, she interned as a clinician in Emergency Mental Health to assist vulnerable clients in crisis achieve stability through group and individual therapy. She has also volunteered as a coordinator for disaster relief post-hurricanes, and coordinated youth groups for children of migrant workers. Larissa’s passion is helping clients who have experienced trauma achieve stability and thrive through use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
Trading Florida beaches for Idaho mountains has its perks as Larissa has been teaching her kids to dirtbike and hike up elevation gains greater than 30 feet.
